[OT] LAN party concern

As for legality on this or any other issue with licensening always consult your end user license agreement (UELA). Every piece of software has them and every piece of software is different.

This is an odd rule for a LAN party, most LAN parties I've ever been to the person who owned the game had burned coppies for everyone and at the end of the party they recollected their disks. But that's besides the point.

Allow me to assure you, NWN is NOT like that. NWN is one of the most perisistent battlers of spawning around. It checks for an internet connection about six times during the startup of a multiplayer game, and tries to verify CD keys quite a bit. It most certainly does NOT allow for spawning. Quite the opposite, in fact. I've run against it enough times to say that with confidence.

Games like Starcraft specifically give you the option for spawning clients during install...as long as one player has a valid license, it can act as a server for a LAN game.
I don't own NWN but I was told it would spawn, I guess I was told wrong.
