[OT] Mac Software Online?

What's the biggest, most reputable seller of Mac software online? It seems all local suppliers of Mac-only software have dried up. I want to purchase some software for a friend, for her birthday, and I'm s.o.l., unless one of you folks know where I can look online....

And when I say a big supplier, I mean a BIG!!!! supplier....

Pretty much, I'm looking for a non-standard application for a Mac. This woman has an older Mac, so the supplier needs to have more than the "latest and greatest."

It's a birthday present for her, which means I have about 5 1/2 months to search for it. I'm looking for a bible, completely cross-referenced with clickable links. She's a major Bible thumper, and I want her to be able to read a verse and find out a half-dozen new things. That means cross-references to concordances, bible dictionaries, maps of the region, and so on....

I saw a program like that, by ValuSoft.com, but unfortunately, it's made for Windows. So I'm hoping to find something similar in the same general price range ($20-$30).

Barring that, I'll give her a few of my textbooks from back when I was taking religious studies. A few of them might be useable....

Try Oak Tree Software

Try the following URL...

They have a tremendous amount of Bible and Bible Study software for the Mac. They even have stuff for the new Mac OS X. Just look around, see what they have to offer and make your choice. They appear to have plenty of options.

Just wait til MacWorld Expo in July and then buy her a new Mac! hahaha! ;)

Although not the biggest, mactreasures has some obscure titles and stuff for older Apple stuff (even Apple II). Try that out (http://www.mactreasures.com and then click "Home" and then "Religious")...

Eh, I think I'll stick with giving her some of my old textbooks. Much as I adore this woman, she's not exactly what I'd call computer-literate. That, and she freaks out over me even offering to treat her to a $4 fruit shake. :) (Mac software isn't cheap...)

At least this way, the books are paid for, and they're just gathering dust as is....
