I'm required to cheer for the Pacers but i'll be thinking forever that the Pacers would be the best team in the east if they had kept Carlisle to coach instead of getting Isiah Thomas.

Based on tonight, Philly is looking just a little too good for New Orleans, especially with the injury troubles the Hornets are going through.

Portland had their best chance to knock off Dallas and fell short. With the foul trouble on Dallas, Portland didn't quite have the offense to take advantage. With injuries piling up on them as well, their best chance might have come and gone.

Well it looks like the Mavs are setting up for the sweep. The only other 2 teams that could do that are the Kings and the 76ers. The Mavs must be doing something right.

Oh yeah famous last words... ;)

Yes, and I'll thank everyone *not* to make predictions like that for the Mavs anymore! :D

Here's to a Mavs/Spurs Western Conference Final.

Oh yeah, predictions...

Spurs over Lakers 4-2
Mavs over Kings 4-2

....really, who cares about the Eastern Conference anyway?

Okay.

Kings over Mavs, 4-1
Spurs over Lakers, 4-3

Nets over Celtics, 4-2
76ers over Pistons, 4-2

Kings over Spurs, 4-2
76ers over Nets, 4-3

Kings over 76ers, 4-0

Of course, SU's national title this year was the only time my team won the whole thing in basketball, and when I filled out my bracket for the first time, I had them losing in the Final Four.

Predictions

Kings over Mavs 4-2
Lakers over Spurs 4-3

Nets over Celtics 4-2
Pistons over 76ers 4-3

Kings over Lakers 4-3
Pistons over Nets 4-2

Kings over Pistons 4-1

This is a little homerish as I am a Pistons fan but they seemed to match up well against the Nets and 76ers when I saw them play. Whoever make sit out of the West though will win.

Well, my prediction regarding the Pacers certainly didn't prove very accurate. And now it's getting even worse, with O'Neal making it difficult to get rid of Isiah Thomas.

Spurs over Lakers 4-3. I think the Lakers are just too thin now. And Bryant, despite his enormous talent, seems to be regressing.

Kings over Mavs, though if Dallas ever learns to play defense they'll be scary.

Detroit has the toughness to muscle past Philly and NJ is too good for Boston but none of them can threaten the West.

Go Kings now that my team failed to make history. I hope after this season Blazers get rid of Rasheed and trade him or somehow get Malone from Utah. That would be cool.
