Well it is looking like a strong possibility for a rematch of Super Bowl XV with the Raiders/Eagles. And all 4 teams with by weeks won, so no cinderella teams this year.

I was born in Philly, so I'll call it Eagles by 3 in a low scoring Superbowl. (Figuring they will be there and it doesn't make much difference who they face.) *shrug*

Haha.. but he had to say it. That rushing the kicker could have gone either way.

Unfortunately it couldn't. The ref made the only call he could, running into the kicker. Nedney over acted, badly, but he was run into by Washington who wasn't pushed into him. I wonder what Washington was thinking, he had no hope of getting there jump anyway and took a penalty.

What was questionable was the one official telling Gildon they didn't have any more timeouts just before the winning field goal. Not that it would have done any good, but it was definitely a mistake unlike the other.

Oh, and the Steelers didn't deserve to win with the way they played defense. They couldn't stop the Titans except when they got a turnover.

Clearly, anyone with half a mind can see it will be the Raiders and Tampa Bay in the big game with tampa coming out on top by 7+.

You can take that to the bank :)

Oh yeah? Well to hell with the banks then!

I expect the Eagles to beat the paper champions, though it will be a hard fought game and I won't be surprised if it does go the other way.

more pointless predictions by me...

Well, I was 2 for 4 on last weekend's games. I went with my gut on the Jets and my gut is a damn fool liar so I shant listen to him again. If the Titans had kept up their end of the bargain and held on to the ball a bit more I would have gotten that game as well, but alas.... On to my picks, in the league where they play (long dramatic pause... ) for pay. (cue football music)

Bucs @ Eagles

Does history not teach us anything? The last 2 years, Tampa Bay has entered Philly and not even scored a touchdown. But that was with Tony Dungy who still hasn't had one of his teams score a TD in a playoff game. But now Jon Gruden is in the house. He goes against Reid's Eagles who have a somewhat stunted offense in their last 2 games.

Reid is a great coach. Both teams will be ready to play in what will be one of two great games this weekend. The Bucs can hold the Eagles to low points but the big question will be in the turnovers and if the Bucs O-Line can stop Philly's D which is second in the league only to Tampa Bay. If the Eagles play the way they did against NY and Altanta, they will lose. McNabb is obviously hurting but even hurt he's a great player. The Bucs have little to no running game. However, we will see more points in this game than most think. I'm thinking something like 24-20. I'm takin' the Bucs as my upset special. If McNabb was at full speed I'd take Philly, but I can't with the way he looked last week.

Titans @ Raiders

Steve McNair is the Emmitt Smith of the QB world. McNair could play with a broken leg, bleeding from one eye and with the flu. He literally played his guts out whenever his team needed him to this year. His running back is tired and shot. Most of his receivers are inexperienced at best. But he has found a way so far.

Rich Gannon has had one of the best seasons at QB ever. He has been accurate, consistant and a team leader. He has a solid runner in Garner, 2 hall of fame receivers and a good offensive line. The only weakness in the Raiders is their corners on defense. Teams can pass on them but its a small window of opportunity because their linemen and linebackers are solid. Oakland took the Jets out of their game plan by stopping the running game a pressuring a young QB. McNair has been to a Super Bowl and will not be as rattled. I want to see the Titans in the Super Bowl again and will be routing for them. For that reason alone they will lose. I'm taking the Raiders in a smashmouth contest. They'll win by at least a touchdown but the game will seem much closer than that.

See you next week for my Super Bowl picks. :p

This is a false statement. TB's offense scored two touchdowns in the 1999-2000 Divisional playoff game against Washington. What were you saying about history?:p

Just messing with you. I know you meant to say "Dungy still hasn't had one of his teams score a TD in a ROAD playoff game."

Doh! Yes, that's what I meant. :)

They didn't manage an offensive TD against Philly in week seven either.

What, how did he look hurt to you? His only injury was to his right ankle and he moved around fine during the game.

I could buy an argument about him being rusty after missing two months, I likely wouldn't agree, but he isn't "obviously hurting."

If the Eagles run the ball the on Sunday the way they did in week seven they will win the game, because in the end they are the better over all team.
