(OT) OSU National Champions

Sure they did...2:18 left in the game....OSU with the ball 3rd down obvious holding on Gamble that was not called and would have given the Buckeyes a first down. Instead they punt and Miami runs it back and kicks the field goal that puts it in OT.

Does it mean that the game wouldn't have gone into OT...maybe maybe not, but it would have ran much more clock...Miami only had one timeout left. I think that it wouldn't have made OT and the game would have ended 17-14.

I would say that missed call would be the most significant of them all...it allowed the incredible OT game we got.

Oh come let's sing Ohio's praise
And songs to Alma Mater raise
While our hearts rebounding thrill
With joy which death alone can still
Summer's heat or winter's cold
The seasons pass the years will roll
Time and change will surely show
How firm thy friendship ... OHIO!

Go Bucks!!!

I am still otherwise speechless.

Being from Gainesville and a Gator fan that is forced to deal with a lousy coach (Yes, ZOOK SUCKS!! But I won't start on that) I am glad to see the Hurricanes fall. I don't care to see ANY team (except for maybe the Gators) go on a 2 year rampage through the NCAA. I believe that Dorsey is over-rated and won't make it in the NFL should he decide to go that route. Mcahee on the other hand is a great player with (unless his injury is career threatening) a lot to look forward to. I have pulled for the Buckeyes ever since I saw Clarett in their first game this year. So I am glad to see them win. Congrats to all the OSU fans and to all the UM fans out there (I'll keep it nice)... it had to end sometime.

Oops, forgot about that one. Unfortuantely that sort of thing doesn't usually happen. Generally you just see one bad call/no-call cost a team a game.

And the thing is...it was a well called game up to that point. If the correct call would have been made then OSU gets the ball with a first down. Miami might get the ball back with 30 seconds left. Game probably ends and their is no potentially questionable call in OT (so far most think it was a good call from mesage boards I was reading).

Oh well...it was a heck of a game anyway.

To bad Miami's TE K. Winslow II has not learned that it is a team game and saying "they didn't beat us, we did" makes you look like a sore loser and questions who on your team beat yourself?

Has anyone heard anything about MaGahee's injury?

Willis McGahee has a torn left ACL. He will have surgery, and almost certainly not declare for the draft now, but rather rehab and stay in school next year. He could come back and play the next year as a senior. Long term, he should be fine. He has just had his million-dollar NFL payday delayed a while.

I have never been happier to be wrong in a long time. Good job Buckeyes. There is no question the Big Ten was the strongest conference in the nation this year. Illinois can take some solace in the fact they took the National Champs to OT!

On behalf of all Oklahoma Sooner fans, Thank You for stoping that Hurricane.

At last an OSU we can be proud of :p

(I'm Dead if anyone from Stillwater reads this)

Consider yourself dead then. Im a fan of the Oklahoma State University Cowboys. :p Always have been, always will be. No other college matters. Not even OU. We will beat you again next year.

The Gods of Sport were against me last night. I had to work until 11:00 so I set my TIVO to record until midnight assuming that it would be plenty of time to get the whole game. I went the entire night at work avoiding the score and asking the folks around me to not tell me the score, and everyone either cooperated or was disinterested. Then around 9:30 some twit in the company broadcast a mass e-mail with the score. ***ARRRGGGHHHH***** I asked him to provide spoiler space in further e-mails if he felt the need to share again.

11:00 rolls around, I get in my truck and start it. The radio was on of course and the local station was just then reading a score update. **SHAZBOT!!**

Then I went to pick up something to eat before heading home to watch the game, but the girl at the counter of McDonalds felt the need to let me know that, "Wow! What a game! The score just went to 24 to.." "STOP!!! Say no more! I'm recording it!"

I finally get home, start the game and watch. And what a game it is! Too bad it went into double overtime and TIVO only got a little bit of the first OT. I had to go to ESPN.com to get the story on the rest of the game. It just wasn't the same.

A tale of woe, to be sure, but dear God...what did I do to offend thee??

LET THE RIOTING BEGIN!

My dad, an OSU grad, was out of town and driving back Friday night. I had to tape it for hime, thus the reason I have a tape of the game, and he was in radio/tv/internet/phone message/email blackout. He picked up the tape this morning and finished watching it at about 1pm. He had no idea of the score and what was going to happen. Like myself and many many others he just about had a heart attack. :D
