in the ongoing fight to keep file sharing of copyrighted music out of the hands of the public, the RIAA is now subpoenaing ... well, pretty much everyone now. you can read the story here. if you weren't aware, and you may be at risk, here's your warning. (there's a link to check on your own personal possible subpoena in the article.)
personally, i think that the RIAA and certain rock bands who shall remain nameless
p) have blown the whole thing way out of proportion, and the loss of revenue was grossly misreported only to support actions like this. when the RIAA was crying foul, sales were down a fraction of a per cent. yes, under 1%.
there's more that i have to say on the subject, but it's late, and i just wanted to start this. in the meantime, what do you think about P2P file sharing, and the copyright issues?
