[OT] Saddam's son's killed in firefight.

It has been confirmed that the 101st airborne got a tip and went to capture Saddam Hussain's son's, there was a 4 hour gun battle. In the end both of Saddam's sons, an aid, and one of Saddam's grand kids were killed. Way to go 101st.

I didn't know they had confirmed the kills? Last I read, they said they suspected that it was them, but didn't have 100% confirmation yet, which could take as long as a week.

I'd have to say, revelling in the deaths of others is certainly inappropriate. The bare facts of the deaths is news rather than politics, I think.. but applauding the 101st for killing a teenager, among others?

There was a briefing about 3:30 PM EST, the US general now in charge over there said it was them. I guess they had someone else formally high up in Saddam's goverment work with them and ID them. Last post on subject for me.
