[OT] Should i get rid of my sig banner?

i had one poster complaining about my sig being distracting.

should i get rid of it or do people even care?

moderators, could you put in some input?

myself, i think my sig is hilarious. i most likely will keep it unless the mods or a lot of posters say otherwise.

I thought it was funny, but it starts to make my head hurt if I stare at it too long. ;-)

It is nice and short - my least favorite sigs are the ones with giant pictures and lots of text, which invariably means that the poster will only say things like "Me too!" followed by their half-page sig. :-(

IMO, animated anything in the body of the text is just bad form as it competes for attention with the content of a thread. Animated banners at the top of a page can be scrolled easily enough out of sight, but sigs...

As a "one-time" thing for a joke? I've no problem with it.

it's not that it's not funny, it's that it kinda gets old quick ... and starts to give me a headache seeing that kid go back and forth ...

It is amusing, but the novelty wears off pretty quickly and it is very distracting.

I agree with Gizzard about it being nice and concise though. There's nothing worse than a huge sig.
