[OT] The movie "Equilibrium"

It had its moments but it suffered terribly from a low budget and poor post production, never really leaving the realm of direct-to-video or made-for-tv. If they had spent some time on better lighting and a better musical score, it would have made a world of difference. That being said, I still thought it was watchable and there were some quality actors, but I don't think I'd recommend it to anyone. I did like the costume design however.

The movie is coming out on video over here now later this month.

Don't feel bad. It had a very limited theatrical release, and didn't play in theatres where I live (Ottawa, Canada) either.

Needed a better damn script too.

I think this film shows how easy it would be to do a film that surpasses the Matrix on a fairly limited budget, because well, if a little more time and care had been taken with it The Matrix and its Sequels would have been old news. Equilibrium and Avalon both show this.

I found the script to be well done...while it did seem almost boring at points, everything was there for a reason, and it all came together(for me at least) in the end. Was a really great movie, and I think it deserved a lot more attention than it got...
hmm....gun katta...I still like calling it Gun Fu. :D
Oh, and did anyone else think that in that last fight, one of them should have quit slapping hands and kicked the other in the chest or something?:D :D
