[OT] To All Who Know Me ... Sad News

Best wishes Ryan, and I know you'll face this down and persevere. I'm sure you didn't spend all those years playing Dungeons and Dragons without learning something about courage.

Stay strong man.

:( :( :(

that sucks re: your wbc count, man. i think alot of the family history may account for it, take suppliments, and figure out as much as you can. you probably are right now.

information is power.

as said, some HIV+ characters learn about their poor habits (correct blood issues / health issues) and end up becomming stronger healthier people as a result of their higher level of understanding of their own bodies . . .

keep strong.

keep going on.

I am deeply saddened by this news, and I thought I was having a :):):):)ty day due to the removal of three wisdom teeth. I really don't what to say, never give up,( I just shed a tear) and spend as much time as you want doing what you love and with those who love you( including us).

My thoughts prayers and wishes to you and those close

Aw hell :( I don't know you Ryan, but when you read these boards long enough, you get a sense about people. You're one of the good ones. You certainly don't deserve this, but you've got it. Now you have to find the inner strength to carry on. Remember that HIV isn't a death sentence and for every statistic, there is a stat-breaker. After my brother's 9+ hour surgery for testicular cancer, the doctor came in and told us that he had a 10% chance of living. This was after all the chemo and everything else. Well we all believed that he would hit that magic 10% and he did. Now years later he is still going strong with a clean bill of health. The same is true for you, I know it. So stay strong and all the best from me and mine.

Ryan

I read through this thread, trying hard to think what to say to you. Like many others I feel that I know you through these boards, so your news is my news too. I can only add my voice to that of others here: the people of ENWorld are with you through this, and will think of you often.

I also wanted to say that I hope that you carry on role-playing. I really think that the concentration and socialisation that our shared hobby brings is good for the soul.

Keep us posted my friend.

Ryan,

I know you have been through a lot in your life. It might help others if you try to share some of your experiences with others. I have often found that helping others can put my problems in perspective, and accomplish some positive good. Regardless of what happens, I think you can still make a difference in the lives of those around you. From what I have read on these boards, I believe you have made a postive difference in this world.

Shalom

Three pages of posts in just over 24 hours... AB, you have a community full of people here to support you. It's a very good feeling to be part of this community because if you're here... you feel like family. It's the most wonderful part of this board. Stay strong, stay happy, and stay healthy.

AB, around eight or nine years ago a good friend of mine asked me to go with him to a seminar in NYC. It was in the Village and he was much more "uptown." So I went. We heard a man named Chuck DeMarco talk about a treatment he'd undergone in Rome, called Hyperthermia. It's risky but for the most part the people trying it are already in bad shape. It's possible the risks could be minimalized for someone who does not yet have AIDS. Chuck is from Atlanta, so it might be possible for you to find him and talk to him. Good Luck and add me to the list of people who'll bend an ear if you need to vent opr just want a bent ear for any reason. My full name is Larry Fitzgerald, you can e-mail me here. Hope your fiance is negative.
