mmmmm,

I have not finished all, but I have formal training in the following:

Chemistry
Book and Paper restauration and conservation
Industrial design

And I have a Guild title (master Painter) specializing in Industrial coatings and paint application.

btw I work as a Programmer ( so Im a geek after all :D )

PhD in Computer Science

Or more precisely a "Doktor Ingeniør", which is an engineering oriented degree with roughly the same requirements as a PhD.

I spent 22 years in school (1975-97), and boy was I glad when I finally got out :)

Now if they awarded degrees in things you actually spend the most time on I would have:

A PhD in Star Wars. I've invested (or wasted depending on your opinion) literally thousands upon thouands of hours in reading, writing, roleplaying, web-surfing, collecting and watching this franchise.

And a PhD in laughter. I love to laugh. I joke a lot.

Actually (and this makes us all jealous) I've got a friend who has a PHD in Beer! - Not only that he gets paid $100000 a year to talk about beer (including teaching a Postgraduate class in Homebrewing!!!)

* This person has a Chemistry degree specialising in Zygotology (sp) - apparently the study of Fermentation in Yeast - and did research for one of the big local brewery companies.

We all Hate him - although his homebrew is quite good:)

Yesterday Michigan Tech University handed me my BS degree in
Metalllurgical and Materials Engineering, now for some work on a mining degree.

Reaver

BS in Mechanical Engineer / Materials Specialization
MS in Computer Science

Of course, there's a lot more to each of us than our degrees. I mean, for example, I'm a much better fiction writer or Dungeon Master than I am a Mechanical Engineer. :)

I will gain my Bachelor's in Digital Media - Computing in Media in two years. (which will make my total time in college 5 and a half years) At that point I will most probably start my pursuit of a Computer Science degree with a focus on Algorithims and Artificial Intelligence.

No, I am not a nerd. I am a geek. There is a difference.

GE = General Education

And yes, it was an art to go to college for as long as I did and change my major from Chemistry to Biology to Physics to Mathmatics to Psychology to Art to English to Radio/TV/Film to Theatre Arts to Liberal Arts and only graduate with an AA.

Let's just say I couldn't take any more GE classes. ;)
