Gah! It never occurred to me that someone wouldn't know what Ultimate Frisbee is!
Ultimate Frisbee (often called simply "Ultimate") is very much like American football. One team kicks off or "pulls" by throwing the disc from one endzone down the field. The receiving team then passes the disc between them, trying to get into the opposite endzone for a point (just 1). An important difference is that you can't run with the disc at all. Possession can be overturned by dropping a pass, having a pass blocked or intercepted, or you taking too damn long to move the disc (there's usually a stall count). It's a very fast, very fun game, especially when everyone on the field knows what they're doing. For example, I know how to throw a disc the length of the field four different ways...and I'm only considered decent.
Anyways, as to the question, I play Ultimate and I teach archery (compound bows) at an overnight boys camp during the summer. Whenever I get to play D&D (I mostly DM), my characters usually use a bow of some sort.
