All right, i've read through page 3 of these posts, so here is my info.
Age 37, married 12 years to a woman currently in the Army and is designated a Mandarin Chinese lnterrogator (97E). She loves it. She is working on qualifying airborne, go figure. We have 3 kids, ages 11, 10, and 7.
My work history, 10 years in the US Navy submarine force, the USS Simon Bolivar (Gold), and High School science teacher. I am currently an at home dad and thinking of getting a masters in Speech Therapy.
Gaming history: Learned to play D&D at Damn Kneck, VA in 1985, while I was in "A" school. It was 1e. Have played every edition, except "optional" 2e. I have also played Aftermath, Swords and Chivalry, Paladium, Synnibar, Traveller, Shadowrun, and several others. Those are just the ones I liked enough to remember.
i have gamed with many people over the years and would love to run into most of them again. I am currently running a Ravenloft game with 5 players who don't mind their characters dying almost every game session. Well, one out of every 3 sessions.
What kind of person am I? A very judgemental and intelligent male who loves his wife and kids more than anything.
Plans for the future? Enjoying the hell out of my wife getting assigned duty in Japan. We will be staying for 3 years, if I have anything to say about it. Unless I am sadly mistaken in how much I will enjoy it. My wife wants to stay in the Army for 20. I don't think so. I am tired of the months of separation because of Army ideals for training that don't apply to people of my wife's age, maturity, work ethics, intelligence, or responsibility. Plus she and i still have kids to raise, and they need both parents far more often.
