Aside from Wolfman Jack, I'm afraid that the only DJ I can even name is a favorite from my early high school days: Dr. Demento :D

Well, actually it interferes with your serotonin receptors, and can cause long-term clinical depression. If you want to melt your brain, try huffing gasoline...

It might do worse than that. Check this out. Scary.

Heh..the latest issue of newsweek had a picture of two hot, barely dressed raver girls dancing around, what with their clothes falling off and whatnot, and a headline that was something like "Don't go to raves!"

As if. :D

DJ Tiesto.

A nice, uplifting trance; tasty like Oakenfold. "Magick 5" is probably my favorite, I love ethereal vocals like "Fiji" or "Someone like You" (Oakenfold again).

I have at least half the albums he's released here in the US and I've not yet been disappointed.

Aphrodite, Roy Davis Jr., Heeby Jeeby: Cuz sometimes you just gotta dance.

Storm (as in Kemistry and storm), DJ Krust, Kevin Saunderson, Flashin Eddy Fowles, DJ Cash Money: Cuz listening to then actually makes you cooler.

DJ Swamp: cuz listening to him actually melts your brain faster than ecstacy.

Illysha: Cuz she'd kick my ass if I didn't like her.

Many others...

I've never been able to really get into the musi to any great degree. It always seemd akin to being famous for having a great record collection and, well, playing them for the crowd while dancing a bit.

kinda... but the art is a) getting them to mix well together and b) choosing tracks, and reading a dance floor.

especially b. you can be technically amazing and mix record at totally different BPMs and time signatures, but if you choose crap tracks you still suck.

i like drum and bass (fav prob... andy c, tho hes playing here tonight and i'm not going), 2-step/ukgarage (never seen any internationals, so my fav is my man marek p) and deep house (DERRICK CARTER!!!!!!!)
