Dude, he died *episodes* ago....

I dunno...last new episode I saw involved Cartman getting revenge on a guy who sold him his pubes...it was the only time I felt a bit disturbed by SP, actually. But then I remembered Greek tragedies, and I felt a lot better. ^_^

"Scott Tenorman Must Die" is the best episode yet. But it came out last spring (and I think it was the first episode of last season). The new season started last week and there's no Kenny.

("Scott Tenorman Must Die" is even funnier if you've just seen Titus (the movie with Anthony Hopkins & Jessica Lange based on Shakespeare's "Titus Andronicus") or remembered the Greek tragedies as KM did.)

Go to the South Park web site at Comedy Central. There's a little tombstone for Kenny on the front page. And a poll: "Where is Kenny?" - (A)Heaven-(B)Hell-(C)Nirvana-(D)with Kurt Cobain. Can you guess which answer is winning?

And they've even replaced Kenny's part of the theme song with Timmy. At least it's not Towlie. :D

Given all the acknowledgments that Kenny is gone, I expect they're either (1) really dumping him, or (2) playing a joke that won't be revealed for several more episodes/seasons/years.

I did read an interview (I think with Trey Parker). It was an old interview, where he said that if the network ever figured out what Kenny said during the opening song, they'd have to remove it. Maybe that happened, and they removed Kenny from the title song by removing him permanently.

- Won't you please come to my Chile Con Carnival?!

Definitely a big South Park watcher here. Wednesday night is really my only big TV night. Enterprise at 7, then exercise and shower, then right back to the tube for two episodes of South Park, then The Daily Show, then usually over to AMC for whatever classic movie they're running - depends on my whim. :)

Agreed, "Scott Tenorman Must Die" is one of my top favorite episodes - never get Cartman mad at you.....

I was pretty surprised too, when all of a sudden last week I turned on South Park halfway through (got in from work late) and Kenny was gone. I think the main reason for this is that they're probably getting lots of fan requests for Butters. He's a great replacement for Kenny, though I don't expect it to last forever.

Hmmm... South Park d20? :)

Thanks for the update, Barendd. I'm sure Matt and Trey have something interesting (i.e., sick) in mind.

"Scott Tenorman Must Die" was incredibly sick... but it was pretty funny. Never thought of comparing it to classic Greek tragedy, but it was definitely written in that style.

Seeing more Butters has been fun, and Pip and Timmy would also make good replacements. But NO ONE can replace Kenny.

South Park d20... hmmm... Kenny must have a cursed Red Coat of Doom.

yeah, wasn't the "Butter's Very Own Episode" the last southpark of last season? I thought this one was pretty bad (as in harsh content), but nowhere near as morbid, or entertaining, as the pubic hair episode.

If I remember correctly, the last episode with Kenny was when he was dying from a disease that only stem cell research could cure. Cartman lobbied Congress to allow stem cell research, but, being Cartman, he did it not to save Kenny but to "clone" his own Stuckey's restaurant. Kenny died, and the kids all recognized it as a "real" death (as opposed to Kenny's recurring death-of-the-week). I was surprised by that, and even more surprised when Kenny never came back on subsequent episodes. I wouldn't put it past Trey Parker and Matt Stone for this to be a long-term hoax, though.

Yeah, that was a funny episode. It was a "Shakey's Pizza" he cloned--we used to go there when I was a kid. We liked it because you could watch them make the pizza and we thought that was cool.

When Kenny comes back, let's have a party--at Shakey's, of course!
