We've been having this great cold weather up here. Not too much snow, but nice bone chilling cold. Not the cold that closes the city, but the good cold that just lets you know it's there even if you are indoors :D

South-Central Wisconsin Weather Report:

We're experiencing below-normal temperatures (teens and single-digits) and have been for a couple of weeks. However, we have not had any snow of note for some time. It looks like it may warm up starting this weekend and also possibly bring some snow or even rain.

Snow sucks and spring got the shaft!

I don't know if this will make you feel any better, but I'll try...

TOP TEN LIST OF THINGS GAMERS CAN DO WITH SNOW

10. Immerse yourself unclothed in a snowbank, to get a new perspective on the Environamental Damage rules from the DMG

9. Create snowmen Players to sit around the table, and play outside to keep them from leaving.

8. Drink several liters of soda pop before starting the "Snowmen game" above , and keep track of everyone's current hit point count in a snowbank

7. Recreate acid attacks by black dragons using pots of hot water on your "players."

6. Use willing family members to try to determine the weight, size, damage dice, ranged attack increment, threat range and critical multiplier of a thrown snowball.

5. Involve your family, your neighbors, and your postman in a recreation of "The Glacial Rift of the Frost Giant Jarl."

4. A cranked and parked car makes an excellent Remhoraz. Stage a mock combat between your Remhoraz and your snowmen players.

3. An unfolded Book of Vile Darkness makes an excellent Boogie-board.

2. Turn your heat up very high in your home and sit down to a game of Diablo II on the PC.

And the #1 GAMER ACTIVITY WHEN SNOWED IN...

1. Travel over the the Meta Forum here, and start a new thread where you beat Hong indiscriminately with a stick!

I hope it goes better for you!

You let something like snow cancel gaming?!?

Sure the movement rate is havled for a foot of snow, but NOTHING stops the game.

Mine still on for Sunday, if yer able.

Yes, it has been mighty cold in the northern states . . . the warmest I have seen in the past week here in NY has been 13 degrees, with a windchill factor of 3 degrees . . please don't ask what the low temps are

I'm playing a game online today (using screenmonkey) with some of our players who are in Hawaii (Maui) for 6 months....

Today in Maui it is a low of 70 and a high of 81. Bastards!

Its a VERY COLD here in Tampa. It hit 58 this morning!!! Its on all the news channles here in town. We might hit low 30ish tonight and have FROST. We have to put blankets on our plants to keep them alive and Orange Trees don't like the cold. I hope I make it through the night. I think I own 1 long sleeve shirt and a sweatshirt. Maybe I shoudl turn the air conditioner off. I had to do that this morning when I started my car.

Have fun in the snow :D

Once, when I lived in Fairbanks Alaska, it snowed 8 or 9 inches overnight in mid September.

I was amazed that school wasn't canceled.

Then it did it the next night.

And the night after that.

And again the night after that.

It melted though come May.

I always try to keep that in mind now that I am back in the midwest. It may get colder than a well diggers ass here, but at least it goes a way after a couple of days, and not a couple of seasons!
