good point...

well I'm heading home now... enjoy your weekend of cricket, people...

if you haven't already checked your email, Eternalknight, I've sent you the new proposal we were discussing...

talk to you all later...

Sri Lanka 126/0 (21.1 overs)
Atapattu 69, Jayasuriya 55

defeated

Bangladesh 124 (31.1 overs)
Kapali 32, Mortaza 28, Vaas 6/25

I can't find details on the Man of the Match, but I'd be inclined to assume it was Vaas...

edit: Sri Lanka beat Bangladesk... sorry...

Yeah. Go India!

I've still never seen a match. My Tivo/Direct TV Satellite says it does, on occassion, carry Cricket. Just not at the moment. What's up with that?

Er, that's Sri Lanka that beat Bangladesh. And Vaas was MoM.

To the best of my knowledge, they've only boycotted their game against Zimbabwe in Zimbabwe, and I believe it was for political and security reasons...

I think...

Yep. England declined to play due to security issues and concerns for the safety of the players. They find out this weekend if the ICC is willing to cancel the match (in which case both teams get two points) or if they will be considered to have forfeited it (in which case Zimbabwe get 4 points, and England get nothing except a big fine from the ICC and possible counter boycotts of proposed tours to the UK).

The best source for news on the England situation is, of course http://www.bbc.co.uk

my apologies to anyone I may have confused with that original post... I wrote it at 6:00am this morning cos I could sleep before my first fencing comp of the year...

I may also be thinking alittle too much about the Australia v India match today...

once again, sorry everyone...

I'd also switch the two teams around, putting Bagladesh first, as they did bat first...

Tonight: Australia v India (I'm tipping Australia) and Kenya v Canada (I'll tip Canada). I'm now 6 from 9.
