[OT] X-Files spinoffs *other* than "The Lone Gunmen".

I don't think "Strange Luck" was related to X-Files at all...although it also dealt with unexplainedness and conspiracy.

You are correct. It was not a spin-off, but it did mention the X-Files in one episode.

Strange Luck starred D. B. Sweeney (Fire in the Sky) as a guy with very good (and often strange) luck. Frances Fisher (Titanic--she played Rose's (Kate Winslet) Mom) was also in it.

One episode concerned D.B. Sweeney's brother, whom he thought was dead. He wasn't, much consipracy, blah blah blah. The episode ended with the brother leaving a note for D. B. Sweeney's character, stating that if anything ever happened to him, he should contact this certain F.B.I. Agent who would believe his story. The agent's name was, of course, Foxx Mulder.

And the Wold Newton universe rolls ever onward...

To shift this back to gaming...anyone who likes any of the aforementioned shows should check out Alternity's Dark Matter book. I can't vouch for the supplements, but te campaign book is simply one of the finest RPG products ever crafted. If I ever get around to running Cthuhlu d20, I'm actually thinkin' of basing the campaign around the Hoffman Institute and mixing in some Dark Matter elements.
