[OT] Your Geekiest Moment

When I watch Star Wars: Empire strikes back and started wondering what the AT-AT's had for armor in d6 terms.

Or when watching a movie and wondering "critical hit" or "critical miss" for appropriate actions.

And also passing by the stationary supplies at my local drug store and wondering if i need another notebook or index cards for a game.

I had a lunch date a few years back, it was our first date, and we ended up spending the rest of the day watching the complete first season of Buffy. :D

I've probably had worse moments if I can think of them.

When I realized that at work, I'm the guy people come to with Lord of the Rings questions.

Although they also always come to me for help moving 200 lb tanks of liquid nitrogen, so maybe the geek/jock factors cancel out.

In particular, they have a stack of 70 page notepads, the kind you write notes in at school.

Everytime I walk by that shelf and see those notepads, I get excited at the RPG related stuff I can write in them. It's almost a euphoric/adrenaline rush sort of thing.

I SO feel for you.

Nothing makes me happier than the paper-products section (notebooks, etc) at the dollar store.

When I'm watching a movie at home, if there's a fight in the movie and if somebody gets hit pretty hard, over and over, but doesn't go down, I sometimes exclaim, "That guy has a LOT of hit points!"

While in theatres, I just 'think' it.

God , me and my friend Paul do junk like that all the time...even our other gamer friends and especially my girlfriend all just stare in awe of the geekiness we exude.
