Other Worlds/Planes BUT DIFFERENTLY!

Nonetheless, these are dangerous things to do, as abuse of this sort of trick can easily disrupt a campaign, not to mention if there are "reverse-timed" planes which could allow the group to go back in time! I personally like these ideas but I've never used them because of these dangers.

Well, in my example of a "reverse-timed" plane I was speaking more about the perception of the flow of time on the plane. The plane wouldn't actually take you back in time per se. But you would perceive everything as moving backwards through time.

Perhaps when the characters arrive there it is at the moment they would be leaving there. Then they have to backtrack (without knowing what happened in the past on this plane) to the point they would have arrived so that they could leave. Clear as mud? :D

Its about perception...our imperfect perception of the non-entity of time. It flows at the same rate in this other dimension. It just appears to be flowing backward to someone not accustommed to it. Eh. If I keep talking, I'll just confuse myself. So, there you go. :D

Hello everyone - I just want to thank you all for being so helpful and giving me superb advice and ideas. It will definitely come in handy. Thanks a bunch! :)

Ditto: this thread is excellent, full of great ideas. I am going to borrow heavily from it.

Recently I was just sorely disappointed with Beyond Countless Doorways (and wrote a review because of this), and I will have to work something myself. In this thread I have got many interesting suggestions to work from... :)
