Our Physical Fitness

So before outdoor cycling becomes difficult ... which for me is too cold to do in tank top and shorts, lol, I'm trying to get my endurance and speed up. I can generally average 20 kph for roughly an hour ... give or take, and traffic depending, lol. I've set myself a goal of doing a 50K bike ride for charity next year. Which I've gotten close to, but haven't managed to do in one ride yet.

looooooooong session today, as I'm going to take the weekend off (Sat/Sun) and then smash things Mon-Wed, as I have some travel and will be missing Thur-Sun (!!!) next weekend.

Everything feeling pretty good. I may swap that bent over barbell row for a cable row, I dont think the tops of my shoulders appreciate it.

I prefer cable row to BOB row: I always feel like I'm either cheating on form or overthinking it with BOB row.

I’m the same way. The more I have to think about a lift, and the more I hear people say take videos or have someone check your form, the more I’m just not likely to do that lift. There’s others that don’t require all that stuff.
 


Got in Friday after work for two circuits of dumbbell bench, dumbbell inclined curls, and dumbbell lateral raises. Then did three sets of machine overhead press. I was going to use a machine for tricep extensions (for some reason I wasn't feeling my dumbbell behind the head skull crushers) but it was out of order. Had to rush a bit to get stuff done and get down to Boston for the concert, but it was pretty good.

Sunday I got back in for three circuits of dumbbell bench, my behind the head skull crushers, and dumbbell lateral raises, then three sets of lat pulldowns. My shoulders were complaining on the skull crushers more than I'm accustomed to, so I reduced reps on the first set and weight on the next two.

I've had a bit of somewhat unexpected muscle soreness in my arms and shoulders yesterday and today, which is an encouraging sign.

I'm getting back to my modified morning routine as well, though sleep has been challenging and I haven't been 100% consistent making even that short time and effort investment in the mornings. Working on it, though.

Legs yesterday. Back today. Upper days are long now. May see if I can tighten it up duration wise.

I'll be missing the next 4 days.

Typical Monday, but the order was different after bench which threw a lot of things off. I was also recovering from the travel, since I absolutely suck at travel.

Still happy with it all.
