P.S., Michael, Arthur: You two interested in playtesting some E.N.Pub books? You do so much volunteer stuff to help out, I want to know if I can offer some early peeks.

Three words as to why I can't do playtesting at the moment:

From the design i saw, the north part seemed all ennies, and the south ENP/Enworld. It seems a good split and some of the donated mula could be used to expand the free space we get (after thats finalized.)

What i'll need at some point is a chart of the ballroom with how many seats we're getting. I personally wont be able to do my job after the nominees are picked, heh.

Well you could sketch out some trophy designs. Am I correct in presuming you'll be doing next year's trophies??

Also, I heard several complaints about there not being a trophy for each participant in the award... For instance Monsternomicon had some 7 or so interior artists - but one trophy. While I'm not going to propose you do 1/trophy per person, perhaps a plaque or award certificate could be done on a person / award basis especially since I suspect we'll see a lot more shared awards this year as the ENnies are open to all RPG's.

i offered ennies to anyone who wanted them that was willing to pay for the materials and time. i got several interested parties, made the icosahedrons and then noone sent money or what their plate should say.

???

as for whether i will be making them- i haven't tsalked to russ about it yet.

Michael, will you also be featuring past ENnies winners? Seems to me one way to emphasize the importance of the ENnies is to give them a history. So you should have space in the booth to show off all the past winners either as a printed poster or with actual product.

Can you name all the Oscar winners from last year? What about the last 3??

Stuff like that is good for Trivia buffs but doesn't in and of itself help. The key lies in the promotion of the current year's nominees. Besides, why advertise for products which, by that time, will be largely out of print?

i can't. but the oscar ceremony always has a nod to previous winners. it sems a very good idea to establish the history if you want to express the importance.

a "we've been right in the past" thing.
