D&D 5E Out of the Abyss OOC

Potion ID will be by sip, smell, and sight. 5e rules call for sipping as the default method of identification, even by non-magic users (this question came up in another game I ran earlier this year). In addition to sipping, which does not expend a use of the potion, you guys will learn that I have default colors and smells that you can (mostly) rely on when making an identification. Clear blue + almonds will do one type of thing, while opaque orange + spices will do another.

We've had a blizzard and the county roads are drifted over. I will be unable to drive home. lowkey13, is this why I sometimes see attorneys in rumpled suits? Ya'll are sleeping it off in your offices, aren't you?

I have faith I'll get home some whichaway. Hate to be the damsel in distress, but it's possible my spouse can come pick me up at the end of the workday. Honestly, it's probably better that I be forced to go home at a reasonable hour, anyway. Have been staying late at the office to catch up on odds and ends missed throughout the day, and have been here as late as 9:45 pm in the few days. (this is where lowkey13 rolls his eyes at me because I'm pretty sure attorneys in his shop regularly stay at work beyond 10 pm. but for a state employee, that's almost unheard of)

So, one of the drawbacks of living on an island is that occasionally, you realize you live on an island. Like today, when we lost all internet for the day. I know, everyone at enworld is crying for me.
I lived on an island in the Pacific for four years. Your suffering is real.

Thanks, Yavathol, for your kindness. I took an alternate route home and went slow. Drifts of wind-blown snow stretched across the road, making portions of the drive interesting. Made it home without incident, so can't beat that. Prayers and good thoughts for the people without a place to go to who will be sleeping outside this frigid night.

So, um, I'm going to pop in here quickly to note the following.

If Ilvara isn't here, that means she's somewhere else.

If she's somewhere else, that means she's probably getting reinforcement to make our life miserable.

She also might not take kindly to people touching her stuff.

I recommend leaving. Now-ish.

I was kind of hoping that that scarred drow might have taken care of her, but he seems to have disappeared too!

The problem with fleeing blindly is that we have no idea which way she went, so we might end up running straight towards her:(
