D&D 5E Out of the Abyss OOC

Not that we will necessarily be enslaved, but if our hands are bound then we're halfway there. Between the good berries and create water, we should be able to survive, so long as we can navigate a route to the myconid community.

Wrex, let me know if you want a spot in this game, too. Not sure how full your plate is, whether you'd have time for two games. If you think you're interested, we'll find a way to work you into our Out of Abyss game (KS, IG, GE, LK13, and Yavathol play, and I serve as DM).

We need an abbreviation for Yavathol. I can't see "Yav" without being reminded of young adult volunteer, which is a thing in the Presbyterian denomination where young people go on a year-long mission trip.

Invite to the Community has been extended. We've a thread over there marked (wait for it) "Characters," which is where your character sheet goes when it's done. You'll need to use a 27 point buy, and create a fourth level character. The originating post of this thread contains character creation information, as well as a list of approved source material (with links). Feel free to use any or none of the additional source material as you like; a straight-up PHB-based character is absolutely fine. Please continue making your character for IG's game, then work on one for this game...you've time here before I'll be able to work you in to the story. Current party composition for OotA is as follows:

lowkey13: Brinn, LN Haruchai Variant Human Monk 4
industrygothica: Kago, LE Orc War Priest of Gruumsh 4
GlassEye: Raza Thulcandra, LN Halfling Circle of the Land (Mountain) Druid 4
Yavathol: Kamael, NG Aasimar Wild Magic Sorcerer 4
Kobold Stew: Solace, LG Aasimar Swashbuckler 4

Fortunately, it's a sandbox (and even if it weren't, I'd find a way to make it so here). Ya'll are free to accept the terms, ignore the terms and (attempt to) forge onward to the kuo-toa city, or go elsewhere. We're going to finish out Round 2. Unless there's an overt act in the next couple turns that requires an immediate kuo-toa response, I'm waiting until the kuo-toas' turn to give their response.

one way to find out...

I agree that we don't want to enter the city in chains. If someone wants, Solace can try to persuade the lone loa left?

I feel making an enemy of the kuo toa while we have an enemy behind us would be a foolish action. I'm willing to take a chance with the kuo toa.
