Overconfident

Not only is it a broken feat, it doesn't make sense to me. Goblins and Orcs think humans and elves (for example) are hiddeous, so why would they hesitate to smash pretty boy's face open?

Why not just take Mage armor and shield, that gives you an 18 with no dex bonus which at 1st level is almost unhitable.

Another option is a feat from Complete Adventurer. I'm not sure what its called off the top of my head, but it requires you to have both a monk and sorceror level. Have them then take this feat and your cha is used for your unarmored AC bonus instead of wis. You can also multiclass between them without penalty.

As for dodge, my group just gives it as a +1 dodge bonus to AC against everyone rather than a selected foe. Makes it a much better feat.

It's called Ascetic Mage.
