Overpowered?

That quote was from the air genasi description from the FRCS so... yea.... he's Aang lulz. The party doesn't really have some barbarianish class. We have range (Ranger) and stealth (Ninja) and... whatever the hell the Swordsage is. No seriously, where does the Swordsage fit in all this?

so it's settled, be a barbarian then prestige out into something cool.

Duskblade. Those guys are like Barbarians with more options. Great peak damage with the right spell channeled, and quite a few other possibilities open to you.
Also, nothing wrong with dipping Barbarian for Whirling Frenzy, then getting Extra Rage.

Be a dual wielding fighter with knowledge devotion.

No, don't do it.

Duskblade or warmage sounds like the best options, but there are others.

If you want to be a support character, the marshal should be considered. Being pidgeon-holed into a race with a Cha penalty sucks, but the marshal is stunning when used properly even if that is taken into account.

A swashbuckler/duelist isn't a horrible idea, but it isn't an incredibly effective one either. Still, it would play to your race's strengths.

Is spellthief on the table? I know your DM doesn't want you to be able to know powerful magic, but did he ever say you couldn't steal it?

And the warblade plays much differently from the sword sage. I've seen them both in play. They have different sets of maneuvers. It's kind of like the difference between playing a wizard and a sorcerer, both have their strengths and weaknesses even though they kind of do the same thing.

Go with a Warblade. That way you can still play to your int and play the "smart fighter" role.

From a power standpoint, the swordsage class is way more powerful than a factotum as far as I am concerned. And the warblade and swordsage are different enough it shouldn't be a problem, especially if you consciously pick powers in school he has not.
