Miniature Market has cases up for presale (only $200). They also have case + black dragon at only $15 more. Sounds like an good deal all around.

Also, on the look of the minis... I saw the minis from the beginner's box at Gen Con-- they look fantastic! Even better than the pics from GenCon above. I have high hopes for the over-all quality of the line.

64 standard packs of either 1 Medium figure or two Small, 12 Large figures. Plus a possible dragon, if you want to spend a bit more.

If they are production samples, they are very good. They look like masters though, so I'll wait till I see a few in stores.

Yes, those were the masters. The Paizo guys said the paint process would be excellent though and they haven't given me reason to doubt them yet. But you are right, the actual quality of the paint job won't be known until they are extra released and we can actually look at the mass produced ones.

I can't see a reason to subscribe at Paizo if the competition beats the subscription pricing by over 10%. (No free pdf in this case. )

The medusa looks great but the lich seems to be too cartoonish for my taste - or is that just because it'S not a photo of the real mini?

Yeah, that Lich and the new Half-Orc Barbarian look like cartoon butt. I like the Medusa but most of the monsters look pretty bad.

I saw the PC set at Gen Con though and those four minis look good.
