Me too.
Paizo rocks the house in many, many ways. I hope no one blames them for the death of these two fine magazines.
There aren't many consistent and comforting things in life. Knowing there was a Dungeon and a Dragon out there, every month, was one of them.
I think that "I just got punched in the gut" feeling I'm experiencing is partially the sad realization that growing old means outliving things you love; the sense of injustice (the implication -- correct or not -- that Paizo is somehow being punished); and the not-so-fond memories of the development of WotC's electronic D&D tool called Master Tools that was going to be this big deal and ended up dead (its much slimmer, somewhat malnourished offspring is eTools, of course). I haven't seen WotC be particularly successful in this field, and I don't have much hope that their online/electronic efforts will be particularly helpful for the way I play and my needs. I hope I'm proven wrong.
