Paragon Character Level

Does anyone know what the Paragon template (ELH) Character Level Modifier is? It isn't in the Epic Level Handbook and dosen't seem to be in any of the errata Wizards of the Coast has released, though I may have missed it.

I tried to work it out, since the ELH has the Effective character level of the Paragon Mind flayer as 27 (I think, I don't have it in front of me) I thought that to find it you would take the Mind Flayer's Level Adjustment away from it.. but I'm not sure.

well, standard answer to that would be that there would be no LA, since the ECL would be over 20. but there are some around here, particularly Shade, that advocate otherwise. he would be a good source for an opinion on that...

What have I gotten myself into? Here's a stab at it:

+1 (at least) for Unbalanced Ability Scores
+1 (at least) for max hit points per die
+1 (at least) for 12 bonus hit points per die
+6 for net +27 bonus to AC
+1 (at least) for speed tripling
+1 (at least) for luck bonus to attack rolls
+1 (at least) for damage bonus
+1 (at least) for bonus to all skills
+1 (at least) for bonus to all saving throws
+1 for resistance to energy 10 for two types of energy
+1 for spell resistance
+1 for spellcasting ability that exceeds what a character of a level equal to the creature's CR could do

So, at a minimum, its LA would be +17. I'd say that it should be at least +20, as it would put a kobold on par with a balor.

I really had no idea what it would be, my friend told my the formula for finding the Level Adjustment was to take the challenge rating, multiply by two and take one. That would give the mind flayer a +15 Level adjustment (though in 3.5 rulebooks the Level adjustment is +7 for chosing mind flayer for a race) so I figured that it would be that, taken from the 'Effective character Level' of the paragon mind flayer which in the ELH is 26. That would make it either +11 or +19... and I don't think its just +11.
