Paranoia XP

I have never been too interested in playing Paranoia "straight", and I don't really need a new rulebook otherwise, so I find the new edition to be less than compelling. And that's even including the fact that a friend of mine wrote one of the sourcebooks that will be coming out.

Anyone know of good websites of other material out there for the game? It just seems like the type of thing fans could have fun creating for?

I have a whole heap of websites bookmarked on my Favourites at home. (I'm currently at work, SSHHHHH!!! Don't tell anyone!) I'll post them up when I get home in about 8 hours from now.

Got to admit at the moment I probably won't upgrade as money is tight, but after things get sorted out I might well buy it. Got a fair number of adventures I haven't used with my current players so probably going to have a good time with my existing copy of Paranoia.

I just ran a Paranoia XP last week and it was a blast. The book provieds three styles of play. Classic and Zap are great for one-offs, but Straight could support a whole campaign.

You can support a whole campaign in Classic, too, just takes a slightly different focus (i.e. it's not about characters gaining power/influence/whatever, it's about players creating a full story arc and having a lot of laughs along the way).

I really like Paranoia XP - the only other Paranoia ruleset I've ever owned was first edition, this version is much better rules-wise and a decent update to the setting. I just wish I still had more of those old classic 1st edition adventures - the only supplement I still have is Acute Paranoia, which at least has a lot of decent short adventures, but I pine for lost epics like "The Yellow Clearance Black Box Blues".

Good point. :)

Watch out for PARANOIA Flashbacks in Feb 2005, it update several great Paranoia adventures, including "The Yellow Clearance Black Box Blues."

Anyone know of a place I can get adventures for beginners? The one in the back of the book is a little more complex then I want for a starting out adventure.
