Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder minotaur race: P.E.A.C.H.

My suggestion on the Horns: 1d4 piercing, natural attack; 1.5x strength bonus on damage if used as part of a charge.

The bonus to two of the physical stats and a penalty to a mental stat is technically against Paizo's +2 to physical, +2 to mental, -2 to anything that was part of their original guidelines for race building. Not a deal breaker, though. With all the combat bonuses, I'd add a weakness..maybe something called Blindspot that makes them easier to flank.

Well you usually only get one attack on a charge anyway so with the way pathfinder does natural attacks the 1.5 thing is implied on most charges (unless you have pounce).

I know it's kind of silly but I'd hate to present a minotaur race that does sub-standard damage with their gore attack.

That's a lot of combat bonuses? really? I didn't think they were that much. I could reduce the mobility bonus a bit.

Been thinking about it and maybe the best thing to do is pull a 4e and make the horns a feat or something.

If I do that I'm thinking I should bump the speed back up.

Comments? Reasons why this is a horrible idea?

You don't need a feat to bump up the damage of a natural attack; it already exists. Improved Natural Attack is in the Bestiary, but PCs can take it too if they can fulfill the prerequisites (which are, Natural Weapon, BAB +4).

No I mean a feat that gives them the natural attack.

If a monster, in this case minotaurs have horns that they can attack with, then they already have a natural attack (horns), so they don't need a feat to get that. Then take the feat Improved Natural Attack to bump the damage.

He's talking about the feat representing learning how to use the natural attack. Without that feat, the horns would just be ornamental and not usable in combat.
