Just got my core book, so I'll let you know, when I get around to it. The D&D-centric group seems keen on the idea of PF in general, so whatever I do with it, they will most likely be on board.

I can actually see us using just the core, for a while. Trying it, anyway. This will be an unusual event. . .

We are currently running a Pathfinder game, but with mostly 3.5 Edition books alongside the core books...the Monster Manual in particular, but also Stormwrack, Seas of Blood, and so forth. We haven't really gotten into houserules just yet; the PF system still feels a bit too new for that.

I use most of the wotc 3.5 stuff with some 3.0 stuff and other OGL stuff at a case by case basis. I'm currently not using any houserules, but one of my older Campaigns relied heavily on house rules.

I haven't used my copy of Pathfinder yet, but I plan to start with just the core rules to see how well they work by themselves.

Before too long, I imagine I'll be throwing all my old 3.5/3.0 rulebooks into the mix, along with a heavy dose of houserules. Too much stuff invested in this game just to let it rot on the shelf, and my imagination won't sit idle for long. Heck, I still sometimes pull 1E/2E stuff into my game (for example, Melf's Minute Meteors from the Wizard's Spell Compendium got used in my last 3.5 game).

I can say I don't plan on using anything past PHB2 from the 3.5 ruleset; may not even use PHB2.

Well, I just switched from D&D 3.5 with heavy Pathfinder house rule influence to Pathfinder with a lot of D&D 3.5 supplements... and now it looks like I might be putting my game off near-indefinitely until I can find players. And I'll be running something else, online. In HARP.

Right now, I'm just using Pathfinder core. But if one of my players wants to take a feat from a WotC 3.5 supplement and it makes sense for their character, I let them.

Characters were generated using only the Core rules. However, as they have leveled I have allowed one feat to be bought so far from a 3.5x supplement, which was Practiced Spellcaster. I am allowing feats to be bought from elsewhere pending my direct approval. I've used 3.5 monsters myself, and I have used one NPC made with Tome of Secrets.

I currently use...

Pathfinder Core rulebook
Monster Manual (until PF Bestiary comes)
MM II, MM III, and Fiend Folio (converted)
Spell Compendium (limited).

In addition, a PC asked to be a DMG dwarven defender and other asked for a Tome of Magic PrC for his wizard.

Other elements are case-by-case, but I'm usually down for good monsters, spells and adventures.

I choose Core Rules books only, because there was nothing about Core +1 tweak.

PF Core Rule Book (ie "da big damn book")
PF Basic Traits Web enhancment & Campaign Traits (running LoF now)
Iterative Attack tweak from Trailblazer
