Nope, and they were sales disasters.I don't think we have seen soft bound short player facing books since 3.0

Here's what's on the schedule that's "new"@darjr I haven't found anything about a WotC presentation at PAX Unplugged this weekend, and their social media posts recently seem like innocuous ads for either the FR books or Tasha's Cauldron. Have you heard or seen anything in particular, and what is your take on the WF image? I know that WF 40 is coming up fast.
I mean...Here's what's on the schedule that's "new"
D&D Sneak Peek - Eberron: Forge of the Artificer
D&D Forgotten Realms Play Preview
D&D Special Preview - The Battle of Emridy Meadows (Legends of Greyhawk organized play, but new)
Sorry to burst the bubble but they have done the Emridy Meadows preview multiple times now. It’s just a convention epic. In fact all of the things listed above as “new” have been at conventions before. They are all just convention play tables.I mean...
Temple of Elemental Evil announcement would be interesting.
Still, all the convention Battle of Emidry Meadows appearances, and the DMG actually recommending using Temple of Elemental Evil in the Greyhawk section...woukdsurprise me if that came long soon.Sorry to burst the bubble but they have done the Emridy Meadows preview multiple times now. 4e had some - a few were those preview books and then there were some digest-sized ones towards the end. The Nentir Vale monsters book has a soft cover as well. 5e had a few during the playtest period (Ghosts of Dragonspear Castle, Murder in Baldur's Gate, and Legacy of the Crystal Shard).I don't think we have seen soft bound short player facing books since 3.0

The 4e preview books were player-facing, as were some of the digest-sized books. The preview books were pretty short. Maybe not the digest-sized ones, but they would've been a lot shorter if they'd been full size ...So, no?
