My tabletop group is playing an all-dragon campaign right now as a matter of fact.

In my experience, dragons are highly undervalued spellcasters, but make diefic melee machines. Relative to other party members, we've found the listed ECL's to be extremely high. I mean, ECL 29 for some of these Young Adults? Watching a fight between a caster-level 7, 21 HD, young adult dragon and any critter from the ELH wouldn't even be worth my time.

I throw that out as something just to bear in mind when you're creating your dragon, John. Caster = bad. Melee = very good, especially if your spells known are devoted to buffs. (Might I recommend Lion's Charge from Savage Species...oops did I say that?)

Well to be honest I can't imagine Brystasia being able to stop any of the critters from the ELH by herself but it could be fun to find out if it wasn’t official.

I’m curious about the dragon. I always thought that dragon don’t really level they only age so how are we going to simulate this?

The rest of the party should be dead before the dragon ages again I do believe.

Note I’m at work so I don’t have access to the Draconomicon at this time so maybe they have a work around for the above. :)

Iiiiiii dunno, Velenne, I think a smart caster could work just fine. You know, as in going mainly for buffs and defensive/tactical type spells, and making the few offensive spells touch-based (especially ones without saves - with a decent attack bonus, overcoming spell resistance is my only worry). I will give Lion's Charge a shot, though. And just to think, with all those slots per day to burn on semi-useful low-level spells, with another level and another feat I'll be eligible for arcane strike...

I do agree though, the level adjustments can be outright ridiculous, but I think the options available to a dragon PC can overcome that.

Shatterstone, PC dragons level and age - every few years they hit a point where their next level must give them a dragon hit die, then when they reach the next age category they get the perks from it. Meanwhile, they continue to gain class levels.

Edit: Ahhhh damn it all, I just noticed I had looked at the juvenile column when looking at the caster level. ARGH!

Brother S is correct; you have only to hit downtime before everyone levels. And before you ask, yes, there is enough treasure to bring you up to the appropriate wealth levels. Thank everything good in the universe for the Draconomicon's art object tables.

Cool, that sounds workable to me. I really like the idea to be honest. :D Not sure how fond I am of bronze dragons though... ;) All the really cool dragons are chromatic so it matters not anyhow.

So is your true nature going to be hidden from everyone or will it be publicly known?

Okay now I really want to explore that other passage. :D

Speaking of treasure; Does Abd-Ratep's blood have any value to the right buyer? Would it be difficult to find such a buyer in Waterdeep?

You sure your guy isn't evil? :p

Anyhow, how about some healing before we go to the other chamber or should Brystasia take care of that?

The blood of an angel of nigh-unsurpassed power? You have an inkling it might be slightly valuable. Not being familiar with Waterdeep, though, you're unsure whether they permit trafficking in divine agent's vital fluids.
