There is a charity in the Netherlands that pays out of work alcoholics in beer and tobacco. Interesting.

His workday begins unfailingly at 9 a.m. — with two cans of beer, a down payment on a salary paid mostly in alcohol. He gets two more cans at lunch and then another can or, if all goes smoothly, two to round off a productive day.... In addition to beer—the brand varies depending on which brewery offers the best price—each member of the cleaning team gets half a packet of rolling tobacco, free lunch and 10 euros a day, or about $13.55.

Only half off? That's terrible. I would have thought since you run the hotel, they would give you more benefits.

I am fine with it, they are a separate company. Heck the owner of the property only gets 20 Percent. Plus the chefs do me right! Double helping of protein...typically fish. I really need to be checked for mercury poisoning.

Im not sure why you would think I would be interested in this, looks like they get crap beer, besides, I already got a job, one that pay me in real money, mostly.

Any way, I think its a horrible I idea, they shouldnt be encouraging alcoholics to drink, they should be helping them kick the habit shouldnt they? And another thing, it sounds like a bit of a ripoff to me, they would probably get more if they had an hourly wage instead of getting cheap beer, but whatever, its not like no ones holding a gun to their heads.

Why? When your there you will probably never stop drinking. Might as well find a way to integrate them in society instead of make them feel bad about who they are.
