[PbP] EoM game: the graduates of Bluetower Academy

"[colr=red]This boat seems weird. Don't they need some crew up here to stear and keep watch even if the weather is bad? Maybe it's enchanted.[/color]"

Kera lands on the boat and starts heading toward the cabin door. As the deck pitches and rolls beneath her feet, she decides not just her balance in the storm, and skims above the floor. "I'm going inside to dry off. Don't bother me unless it's really important."

Then she attempts to enter the cabin.

OOC: I'm suddenly seeing all kinds of downsides to being a student, not an adventurer.

"The mana potion has refilled my power, but I feel drained as well - my mind feels fuzzy - as though I cannot think as clearly as I did before the potion, I would advise cautious on taking one - rest would be much more preferable," Amisel said after taking the mana potion.

"Well, we made it to the ship," Amisel said as he landed on the boat, "If that was our task, let's search for a portal to move us to the next task."

"Agreed. And once we find it, we may as well rest here before we go through. Who knows what will be on the other side." Elwent takes a cursory glance around the deck before heading inside to check out the cabins and whatever is below.

OOC: This task was too easy... Forgot you could fly.

The entire ship is hollow - there are no apparent structural supports, walls, or anything, just a shell. It's difficult to tell what it's made of, or how it continues to function without getting torn to smithereens. There is actually a good drop from the door into the "cabin" to the bottom of the ship. The whole effect of the place is very strange. The sounds of the storm outside are strongly muffled within, though the place keeps rocking violently back and forth.

You stand in amazement, for the place truly is empty. There is no portal... There is nothing at all.

"Well, if there is no portal, then perhaps this vessel will be taking us to the portal," Amisel said. "I would suggest that those that can sleep in these conditions get what sleep you may to recover power. I will keep the first watch."

"Hmph." Elwent frowns. "Well, I still have some strength left - I'll keep the first watch. I think someone should take a careful look around at the same time, perhaps trying to detect any magical essences," he suggests, turning back to find a safe place on the deck to keep an eye on their surroundings.

"Okay, Elwent, then I will look around for anything strange," Amisel said as he began searching. Amisel will use Intuit Direction to look for magic, paying 1 MP, with a duration of 4 1/2 minutes. He will use another 1 MP if necessary to complete the search of the ship for magic.

Krizzle: The entire deck looks pretty UNsafe, with water washing over it every minute or so and fierce winds gusting at intervals. Do you still want to try to post watch up there?

Amisel: The entire ship radiates strong magic.

"Perhaps it would be best to stay below decks. The ship radiates strong magic - I'll attempt to determine the type," Amisel will use Spellcraft to try and determine the type of magic.
