*As far as he can tell, it's just a button. If he presses it, it will do something. There are no obvious connections to cause any immediate effect in this room that he can notice. This is probably a good sign, since any trap would generally have to affect this room or else it wouldn't be much of a trap, at least immediately.*

"If it doesn't seem to be a trap, let's push the button and get on with it." Ironwolf suggests. If no one objects, he pushes the button.

"The crystal is here for a reason, it was behind the doors for a reason, and it is the same color as the marking for a reason. Pushing it is probably a good idea. If it is a trap triggered by a prestidigitation, we should be able to dimension door outside quickly enough."

*When the button is pressed, the green gem turns blue and begins to glow. Suddenly, the map location corresponding to the place where the group is currently located gains a glowing blue marker, which begins to pulse blue outwards in a circle. When it passes the marker for the next point (which is green), the blue pulse dies immediately. A minute later, the button resets to green. Pressing it repeatedly has the same result. By the best combined analysis of Rinaldo's knowledge of strange devices and the Detect Magic spell analysing the flow of the trigger spell, whatever this button does, it only remains activated for one minute.*

"Uh oh... we might need to teleport from place to place to place in order to make this work, or possibly have people stationed in each place simultaneously. If that's the case, we may need to explore all the locations before deciphering this riddle."

"Let's note the path the mark doe, amybe after visiting all tehplace, teh marks, put together, will show us something. If not, we will try the activation from one place to another." tells Rinaldo

"Perhaps its just meant to help us follow the trail to the next one. This is an incredibly complex puzzle we're dealing but sometimes the creators may have given their would be puzzle-solvers some additional clues. Or maybe its a big trap and pressing all these buttons will set off the end of the world. Here's hoping its a bit more benevolent than that." says Tenebrynn.

"Well, let's stay optimistic. I think destroying the world is probably harder than it sounds." Ironwolf says. "Shall we proceed overland to the next point?"

Ironwolf is ready to go.

"Yes, it seems pretty complex, and I have no wonder why the elven leader think it might be best to leave the shards in there hideout. That one seems not an easy one to get. But if we have made it so far, someone else might have been able to do it too... or already have done it." tells Rinaldo. "I hope the other group are faring well."
