"This is a great opportunity for all parties as this agreement allows us to continue to deliver quality magazines to those interested in reading about their favorite lifestyle games," said Johnny Wilson, president of Paizo Publishing, LLC.

What the fudge is a "lifestyle game?"

Jesse, in addition to the question about interruptions in magazines, does the inclusion of Star Wars adventures in Dungeon mean less room for D&D adventures?

Will we see more d20 content?

Will D&D stuff from Wizards that appears in Dragon still be "official", whatever that means/is worth?

Oh, goodie. The rivalry between Star Wars and D&D gamers has started up again.

* gives an around-the-sun-till-my-pupil-burn :rolleyes: *

To both side of the extremists, I'd flip you the birds. I love both games, and if this is the only way we have some support for SW RPG then so be it. Ideally, I like more and I will continue to harrass the Paizo Publishing till I achieve my objective (to have a standalone Star Wars RPG magazine), but I'll take what I can get for now.

I don't think anyone is being extremist here. I've never been aware of any rivalry. As I asked above, I'm just curious about the fate of the d20 minigames in Polyhedron, since Polyhedron was specifically mentioned as being where d20 Star Wars articles would be.

Gee, I didn't mean to start a rivalry. I just wanted to know if I'd get less D&D adventures, or more Star Wars adventures. I just want to know what effect, if any, this move will have on how much value I place on the magazine.

I wonder... if Dungeon/Polyhedron will now start carrying Star Wars material, that will by necessity mean one of three things:

1. (Good) European gamers will get access to Star Wars RPG material that was previously unavailable due to licensing agreements.

2. (Bad) European gamers will lose access to Dungeon/Polyhedron because the Star Wars content will prohibit it from being distributed in Europe

3. (Weird) Dungeon/Poly will be distributed in two versions: one with Star Wars for the US and one without for the rest of the world.

If anyone who'd know reads this, I'd like to know.

Put that bird back in its cage, sport. Where's this rivalry that you're rolling your eyes at? It was asked whether SW would affect the amount of D&D content - isn't that a reasonable question, you miserable Wookie-hugger?

Hey folks,

There are lots of ideas floating around the office right now, and I'm particularly interested in thoughts and opinions on Dragon, but we're sorting out our new work areas and working to get issue #299 to the printers this week, so I appologize if I've missed a question or two.

Is there going to be an interruption in issue release and/or subscription service during the changeover?

There will be no interruption. The fulfillment house (the company that handles subscriptions) and the distributor (the company that gets magazines to stores) will remain the same, and they and the customers they serve won't experience any interruptions.

Is this the end of the Polyhedron minigames now that SW is horning in on that space?

I can't speak officially for Poly, only for Dragon, but I don't think Eric has any plans to abandon the mini games. They're just too popular.

Will D&D stuff from Wizards that appears in Dragon still be "official", whatever that means/is worth?

Absolutely. We work just as closely with R&D as we did before, only since we're in a different building, the relationship has been made a little more formal.

Heya, folks.

We're still getting settled into the new offices. All is well in Paizo land. The periodicals cherubs are nestled softly in comfortable beds, and all dream for a better future for one and all.

In other words, we're pretty excited about the change.

Mini Games remain. They will not be shaken by the simple wave of a lightsaber, oh no!

More later. On deadline.

;)
