Permanencies

Recently in an epic campaign i was playing the DM allowed free reign on permanencies and I decided to go ahead and intensify all the spells i permanencied. Is there a restriction anywhere that says you can't permanency a spell with a metamagic feat applied to it? We were just wondering ;)

I can't see why you couldn't. What spells were you metamagicing? The only drawback I could see is you'd have to pay more experience points to make the spell permanent in that is is now higher level. Not a big drawback given how cheap it is xp-wise to make a spell permanent relative to the xp totals for characters at epic levels.

I think (don't have the PHB in front of me) the spell suggestions only go up to 4th level? Assuming you were making 5+ level spell permanent, what xp costs did the DM assign?

Thanks,
Rich
