This thread is to discuss the celestial lord Pharael, who is a very powerful elemental being. Instead of starting with his stats, I think it would be a great idea to start with the flavor text, and use that to help generate a set of stats that works well for him.
So, to get things going, we’ll work on the following items:
Attitude/personality
Appearance
Titles
Realm/Home Plane
History in brief
Allies/Enemies
Followers
Symbol
Some notes on those:
What is Pharael like? Does he (/she/it) care about mortals? Does he concern himself with only elementals, or with other good creatures as well? being Chaotic Good helps determine a lot of this too.
What does Pharael look like? As an "ascended elemental being of fire and lightning, i can imagine that he must be pretty interesting looking.
Are there any other epitaphs that he is known by?
What plane does he live on? Ysgard? Arborea? An elemental plane? Astral plane or material plane? What does his home look like? Burning plains?
Tell us about his history in brief. has he done anything that affected the planes, gods, or sentient beings in general? has he had a major accomplishment or learned a special secret?
Does Pharael find any allies among the gods? Certain powerful mortals and outsiders? Maybe another of the unfinished celestial lords , such as Omata? Any enemies? Maybe he particularly hates one of the demon lords, or some powerful adversary? what would his relationship be to existing elemental powers, and other gods?
Who serves Pharael? Elementals? Maybe some half-elementals and elemental creatures? maybe some non-elementals, or maybe celestials such as eladrins or solars, as followers. We know that he sponsors orders of fighter/sorcerer knights on several planes, so what are those comprised of?
What symbol would his followers write on their books and put on their clothes?
So, with that, I turn it over to Aaron L, who came up with the idea for Pharael. You don't have to provide all the information above, but whatever you do add will provide a good starting point for the rest of us. Take it away, Aaron!
(folks, let's give him 48 hours to respond. if he doesn't post anything by then, feel free to get in on it. otherwise, wait til he adds his peice).
