Pharael, Bringer of Just Wrath

alignment?

folks, i noticed that we originally had Pharael's alignment as Chaotic Good (look, if you don't beleive me), but you all seem to be referring to him as Lawful Good. is this a group vote to change the alignment?

Well chaotic doesn't fit someone who is the 'bringer of just wrath'. As justice is a very lawful concept. So I am for the change.

not necessarily... he is not the judge himself. if anything, i see him as more of a "vigilante", going out and seeking evildoers to exact revenge and retribution on his own, for those who lack his power. that's not exactly a lawful way to do things, is it?

"excuse me, mr. big fire guy, this guy killed my mom, can you get rid of him for me?"

i don't know, what do you all think? i'll go with your ideas.

The bringer of Justice, yet is not lawful himself. Maybe he should have a higher up Lord or God that sends him after lawbreakers. Of course, if the lawbreaker doesn't want to be taken in then Mr. Big Fire Guy has his master's approval to get medeval on his..., well, you-know-what.

right. i don't see why we have to make him lawful just because he's into justice (very D&D cliche). i mean, characters like batman and the punisher are very into justice, but i can't honestly see them as lawful. i'll take your opinions into consideration though.

Well, i personally have always seen Batman as a kinda LE character, out to avenge his parents death with his own desillusioned version of justice. Maybe it's just me, but his cool anyhow

As for Pharael, now that you mention it, he does seem a little chaotic. Perhaps NG would be a better alignment?
