LOL, true. And as this conversation proves, lack of communication can be the fault of either side (in other words, read my entire post rather than just quote the first sentence).

I read it all, sorry for making you feel as if I was ignoring the second part of your post, but the truth is "Basic" is a loaded word in a D&D context, why pick that over "Core", "minimal", "Default", "Starter", "Essential" or any other less loaded words? they gambled with Basic as an appeal to tradition, but then forgot that in tradition it held some connotations that are still strong among the gamers. (In short yes I noticed, the name itself is the communication mistake)
