OK lets Do the Human:

Versatility: Gain 1 Skill Proficiency, 1 Tool Proficiency and 1 Language
Prodigy: Gain Expertise in a skill or tool that you are proficient in.
Human Determination: Once per Rest gain advantage on an single attack roll, ability check or save.
Outlier: Choose 1 stat, this stat has a ceiling of 22.
Adaptable: Multiclass stat requirements are reduced by 2.

maybe we could go just with versatility with humans:

gain 2 skill proficiencies
gain 2 tool or weapon proficiencies
gain 2 expertise in skills or tools
languages: common + 2 extra
Additional class training: gain extra level of armor proficiency from 1st level class or one extra class skill.

no ability boosts.

I would go with no racial ability mods for standard races.

point buy altered:
32 pt pool

8 - 0 pts
9 - 1 pt
10 - 2 pts
11 - 3 pts
12 - 4 pts
13 - 5 pts
14 - 6 pts
15 - 8 pts
16 - 10 pts
17 - 13 pts(this is optional, maybe keep starting stats at 16 max)

The problem with this is it does not apply to rolled abilities, which many (if not most) tables still do. It would also not work for standard array.

rolls: replace 2 of 6 roll of 4d6k3 with 5d6k3.
