Pimp my Ass!

It is not as powerful but you might be able to use this feat with dungeon master approval. http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/re/20031118a

This way the dungeon master does not have to worry about the creature talking or about what levels it could be trained for plus it does not take up an extra share of experience.

At your level it would have +3 hit dice, +3 natural armor, +1 strength and dexterity, 2 bonus tricks, and evasion.

If your dungeon master is really nice then he might allow the mule to turn into a dire mule and count it as being a level -3 choice.

I think dragon shaman could be a lot of fun. Itll help everybody, breathe fire (or other gunk), could potentially spider climb, and eventually grow wings. What could be better?

This thread needs to be preserved for posterity, so that many years hence, our descendants can come and gawk at the awkwardness that was gamer humor in this era. :p

Right up until I read this I was in the Warlock camp, but now I'm thinking Dragon Shaman might be the best option... long term. You'd have to gain 4 levels for the mule to have its breath weapon while the warlock would be doing 1d6 as an eldritch blast from the start.

Of course you could also split the difference and go Dragonfire Adept... (out of Dragon Magic)
