i]Hey, man, when are you going to have product x?[/i] (for example Dragonstar)
-Product x? What is that?
-A wonderful new d20 product!
-I've never heard of it, it must have been cancelled. Why don't you buy the new Warhammer book?

-Funny that, I have a copy right here I got off the Internet

Trust me, don't support those who won't support you. Does the Brest guy have gaming tables? If so, then start up d20 RPG games (I assume you mean he pitches Warhammer wargames. If he's pitching the old WH Fantasy RPG, it is getting support now. Comprise and run a WH RPG for a while, then switch down the line.)
Try running a d20 WH Fantasy game if he's not a big RPG fan. The Scarred Lands setting pretty much has everything you need some of it is the right flavor too.

When others start asking for the product, he'll either get the clue or they can order off the 'Net. If he starts getting nasty and theatens to kick you out, tell him to start selling the products you want or just try to special order it for customers. If he does kick you out anyway, I think you will find other d20 players eventualy and they won't be at that store.

He has three gaming tables. One permanently with warhammer fantasy or 40.000 or Mordheim or LOTR miniature game scenary, the other two, rather small, for CCG.

He has neither great need nor great interest in RPG, because most of his revenues come from other (minis and ccg) sources.

I'm a bit tired of trying, for some months now I buy my rpg from internet (usually talon comics). Shipping cost to Europe sucks, but at least I can have my games...

So he decides to completely ignore a third potential source of income, even if it's special order. That's what burns me in your case, "special ordering" just means a store manager adds the item to his list for that week. It takes up no shelf space, is already spoken for, and helps him meet his bulk miniumums to get discounts. Yep, this guy is a real businessness man.

I happen to be blessed with a very competant game store owner. The only item I've ever had trouble getting from him was Talislanta, because his distributor didn't even know the publisher existed.

So here is the plan of attack if you really want to open up this store to RPG play, be warned it is a long term plan.

Learn how to play WH Fantasy, just borrow figs and learn how to play, comment that it would make a cool game. If you a budget, then get Hogshead's new WH Fantasy book, if not, then just use d20. You can use Scarred Lands setting or just do more homework on your own.

Then offer to run a "WH Fantasy" d20 game. Stress that the new DND is made to fit around a gameworld, not the other way. If you have cash again, check out CoC's magic system, it should fit the philosopy. Codex Mysterium may also be more of a fit than regular DND (this Codex is a magic system all by itself without throwing in a whole game world) d20 Deadlands also offers a DND spell point system and some twisted monsters that scream chaos.

At the very least, invest in some of Hogshead's reprinted WH Fantasy adventures so you can convert them over to d20.

Ask the store owner if he want to play a Britonan or an Empire hero. Talk about what the PC would be like in the wargame. Finish the campaign and then go on to your DND world.

Good plan!

The silly part of all this is that the guy HAS a rpg section in the shop... only most outdated, with only one or two d20 products besides wotc, more than a month after the release.
