Pionic Feats - What type action?

What type of action is required to activate pionic feats like pionic weapon? I know normal powers are standard actions and are treated the same as spells form a mechanical standpoint, but can't find anything on feats.

It seems like activating them is a free action that does not invoke a AOO. Is this correct?

Yeah, otherwise they'd suck.

Feats are Extraordinary. Unless stated otherwise, they are free actions.

You can use Deep Impact and Whirlwind Attack (one Deep Impact per opponent struck) during a full-round action without using Haste.
