Seriously, though ... Can I ask what you do ... and how it went? Because I could see this working in some jobs. But others ... not so much.

"Arrr, lads and lasses. Today I be teachin' ya how ta be solving multivariable calculus." - Perhaps.

I'd insert on that I think would legitimately work, but I honestly don't want to accidentally insult someone. So I'll stop while I'm ahead.

How about--"D'arr me hearties. Today we be learnin' 'bout attacks o' opportunity. And any of you scurvy dogs what quotes the FAQ'll be walkin' the plank!--D'arr!"

Seriously, though ... Can I ask what you do ... and how it went? Because I could see this working in some jobs. But others ... not so much.

Aye - I be a programmer. Not a lot o' contact with customers, and I didn't even get any calls today.

Me workmates knew it was comin' up - it be the third year I've dressed for the occasion - and they were all looking forward to it!

(Ye'd be amazed how contagious it be - when I went out for lunch today, there be a team o' drunk footballers at the tavern. Weren't long at all afore they were all cursin' and growlin' like a crew o' old sea dogs!)

I also teach martial arts - in a previous year when ITLaPD fell on a trainin' night, I ran the class in fashion piratical...
