LOL I purposly sought out this thread. This happens every theme day. the old men pull up their breaches and talk about how the internet is ruining us darn kids.

But I just have to say that I was drawn here by the promise of this place being for those who want "no talk of pirates" or something like that. The forum's been changed for all of about 20 minutes and I think I'm going to simply not log on for the next 24 hours. Annoying! Even reading the fake forum titles makes my eyes bleed!

Anyone want to sympathize with me? Anyone want to shout me down?

Please, please tell me this will go away in 24 hours!

Well, this is pretty typical of the two "internet holidays", which seem to be specifically designed to be as absolutely annoying and obnoxious as possible.

One is the current "Talk Like a Pirate Day". The other is April Fool's.

Errrr...annoying or not, I think April Fool's Day predates the Internet by quite a bit. Predates Al Gore, even.

I woulda dressed up like a pirate had I remembered before 8am that it was Pirate Day and if I wasn't at the front desk meeting people, though the people calling would never have known.

I COULD NOT have spoken like a pirate all day though. Don't think I'd hear the end of THAT.
