Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End trailer

No plans to see this one. Number 2 nearly bored me and Mrs. Noah to death. We actually almost turned it off at one point. It's strange because I generally enjoyed the first one though it too had some dead spots in it.

Oddly enough, I feel the exact opposite. Maybe it's because I didn't see 1 in theatres, but when I did watch it, I couldn't help but think "That's it? That's what all the hype was about?" It just didn't grab me- and I generally love Rossio/Elliott stories.

On the other hand, I rather enjoyed the second one, even if Jack Sparrow seemed rather more despicable than he did in the first. Looking forward to this one, and really dug the trailer.

I'm hoping to get in on the beta for Pirates Online, but we'll see. My friend said he got his key already and just hasn't activated it yet.

I really enjoyed the first movie. The second I didn't think was as good, but I think part of that was because the first was a good movie in its own rights, the second was more of a setup for this movie.

Shame they couldn't wait for International Talk Like A Pirate Day to release it.

I'm looking forward to the third, even the though 2nd was vastly inferior to the first (though I liked it well enough - who doesn't like pirates in giant balls?). Convoluted plot, jerking all over the place, goofy accents during inappropriate story moments - and really, a particular comment in the DVD commentary certainly explained it all... wildly paraphrasing: "And if we deliver the script for Pirates 3 complete and on time, they promise to use the whole thing next time!". [Anyone know the full quote?]

Pirates 2 had a late everchanging script? No fricken' duh.

This looks like it should be another fun popcorn movie.

"Four of you have tried to kill me. One of you succeeded." Cap'n Jack Sparrow gets the nomination for most lines I wish one of my PCs delivered.

I liked PotC 2 better than most, and the first one was also pretty entertaining. I'm looking forward to this one, too.

Nomination? Hell, he pilfered the award back in the first PotC flick.

At least in the last few fantasy d20 campaigns I've played in. Mind you, I was the guilty party in one of them, but I was playing a pirate in a Conan game, so at least it was appropriate.

Loved the first movie. Liked the second one, though I thought Jack moved from a lovable rogue to actually evil in the second movie. I'm very much looking forward to the third movie.

I like how he droped the "good" from his chaotic alignment, not to mention his behavior was more like how I think a pirate captain who act if they were afraid of a mutany. Hell, if he acted like this when Barbosa was his first mate then who wouldn't have lost the Black Pearl in the first place. Of course, what I want to know is what exactly lead to that deal Jack made with Davy Jones inorder to captain the black pearl.. I hope they fill in that piece of the back story.
