Even so, a Mithral Chain Shirt +1 would be a good bet, as it has a ACP of -0. Cost of 3,200gp for a +5 armor bonus.

Still....a Pit Fiend wearing (essentially) "elven" chain? Hmmffff.....

Yeah, but MW chain shirt is what, -1 armour check penalty? The pit fiend in question might not care. Then again he might.

Actually, a Pit Fiend would care, even about a measly -1 penalty. Lots of the things he'd be fighting have truely horrendous ACs....and even a Pit Fiend is slowed down by an AC 35 (as you can extrapolate from the numbers I posted above).
